Is It Attainable To Get A Trustee Sale Or Foreclosures Date Postponed Or Altered?

Hello, that is Kerri from the Bay Area Short Sale Angels, Northern California’s primary short sale team. So lots of people come to me questioning the way to get a trustee sale date postponed. That’s the day that the house goes to public sale and either will get bought or goes back into being a financial institution owned property. It is the official foreclosure date. So, is it possible to postpone this date? Many occasions the bank will postpone the date for you if it is looking like things are looking constructive together with your loan modification.
Another method to get it postponed and even stalled is by completing a short sale. If we’re in contract with a legit buyer and we are close to getting the negotiations finalized or in the middle of escrow, many times the financial institution will actively postpone the trustee sale date. Usually we will not ask for that postponement for up until 10 days before the trustee sale date.
Another solution to postpone the date is bankruptcy. A lot of people have used this as a tactic to be able to dwell in their house that’s going through foreclosure even longer just by filing for bankruptcy. Once you file for bankruptcy, you have a certain quantity of days that you must get that bankruptcy completed before the trustee sale date will be reinstated.
So these are three totally different methods of getting the trustee sale date postponed. There are lots of people on the market on the web that promise that they will get the trustee sale date postponed if you happen to pay them money. I would say ninety nine% of those are scams. So, what you really need to do is determine the place you’re going, what your intentions are with the property and then make a decision based mostly on that.
